Hobby Lobby has executed two new leases to replace empty Toys “R” Us and Babies “R” Us locations in the greater Atlanta area, according to a press release Monday.

The first location in the Akers Mill Square off Cobb Parkway will consist of 58,907 square feet.

The second, in the North Point MarketCenter off of North Point Parkway in Alpharetta, will be 50,275 square feet of space.

“These locations are a perfect fit for Hobby Lobby, strengthening their presence in the Atlanta Market and making them the dominant retailer in Atlanta in the arts and crafts, framing and home accents category,” Steve Gunning of SRS Real Estate Partners, the firm that represented Hobby Lobby, said in the release.

“We were fortunate that these excellent locations became available and the landlords recognized the value that Hobby Lobby will bring to their centers.”

Hobby Lobby, “the world’s largest privately owned arts and crafts retailer,” in 2018 opened 63 new stores and relocated 12 in 2017, according to the release.

The company has more than 800 stores across the nation offering more than 70,000 crafting and home décor products including picture framing, jewelry making, fabrics, floral and wedding supplies, cards and party ware, baskets, wearable art, home accents, holiday merchandise and more.

Gunning represents the tenant, Hobby Lobby.

The landlord for Akers Mill Square was represented by Kathy Ward Darin with Olshan Properties.

The Landlord for North Point Market Center was represented by Tosh Wolfe and Whitney Spangler with Colliers International Atlanta.
