Senior Vice President & Principal

Steve Gunning is a Senior Vice President & Principal in the Atlanta, GA office for SRS. He joined SRS Real Estate Partners in 2007 as vice president in the Atlanta, GA market office. Prior to joining SRS, Steve held real estate leadership positions with several national retailers including Nextel Retail Stores, Wolf Camera and Atlanta Bread Company. His responsibilities included all aspects of real estate, including strategic planning, site selection, lease administration and construction management. He has completed over 1,500 transactions during his career.

Steve specializes exclusively in tenant representation for a variety of retail and restaurant clients. Current clients include Hobby Lobby, Shoe Carnival, Ideal Image, Main Event, Sally Beauty Supply, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Rusty Taco and D1 Fitness. Past clients include Outback Steakhouse, Lifeway Christian, Earth Fare, Applebee’s, IHOP and Five Guys. Steve has assisted multiple retailers with their growth strategies in Georgia and the Southeast, including generating over 35 new Hobby Lobby locations in Georgia and 8 Toys R Us locations in the Southeast. Steve is recognized by his clients for bringing a deep understanding of the Atlanta retail environment, an innovative approach to creating opportunities in a tight market, and his long-term relationships with developers and owners of real estate.

Steve has been recognized in the industry numerous times for his achievements including Top Five Producer in Atlanta by the Commercial Board of Realtors and CoStar Power Broker. He is also the multi-year recipient of SRS Top Producer Award, the highest recognition within the company, as well as the SRS Million Dollar Club. Steve is a member of International Council of Shopping Centers.
