Total Wine & More to open sixth Phoenix storePhoenix Business Journal
Total Wine & More will open its sixth Phoenix store on Thursday at the site of a former Circuit City store. The 33,200-square-foot building is at the northeast corner of Camelback Road and 16th Street.
Total Wine is one of the few retailers rapidly growing its presence in the Valley. Based in Potomac, Md., the company has opened three locations recently, including one near Ikea off Interstate 10 in Tempe and one at the San Tan Village Shopping Center in Gilbert.
The lease transaction for the Camelback Road site was handled by Velocity Retail and SRS Real Estate Partners.
“There were two other retailers that we know of who wanted this location,” said Dave Cheatham, principal of Velocity Retail. “the location is in an area that experiences little movement with retailers, and vacancies are few and far between.”
Total Wine has 58 stores in 10 states.
