Staubach Retail Services gets a new name

The last Dallas real estate company with the Staubach name is getting a new identity.

Staubach Retail Services said Thursday that the 22-year-old retail brokerage firm will now be known as SRS Real Estate Partners.

Staubach Retail has continued under its old name since prominent Dallas real estate exec Roger Staubach sold his Staubach Co. brokerage firm last summer to Jones Lang LaSalle.

Staubach Retail is partly owned by Staubach and remained an independent company.

The latest name change is to “provide clarity” that the retail company has no involvement with Jones Lang LaSalle, SRS said.

“We are proud of our heritage and legacy but now is the time to define ourselves as a separate real estate firm,” SRS Real Estate Partners CEO Clay Smith said in a statement.
