Lowe’s Home Improvement joins The Grove in Hoover, Alabama

(Hoover, Alabama) August 4, 2009- The Grove, a $100 million, 634,000 sf power center located at the intersection of I-459 and AL Hwy 150 (John Hawkins Pkwy) in Hoover, Alabama recently sold approximately 15 acres to Lowe’s Home Improvement.
Lowe’s joins other signed anchor tenants including SuperTarget, Kohl’s, Petco and Shoe Carnival. The Grove is currently under construction and scheduled to open in Fall 2009.
“The Grove has a very strong line-up of national retailers and is the largest shopping center in the state currently under construction,” said Josh Burmeister, senior vice president with SRS Real Estate Partners. “Hoover is a great retail market and even with the national economy in a slump, interest in this site from retailers has remained high. We will be announcing new tenants in the near future.”
Other signed tenants include Frontera Mexican Grill, Dress Barn, Maurice’s, Rue 21, Mattress Firm, EyeMart Express, American Family Care, American Deli, Compass Bank and Superior Bank.
