Atlanta Business Chronicle – by Allison Shirreffs Contributing writer
Ray Uttenhove is looking at the bright side. Real estate markets like the present one can “make you better at what you do,” she said.
The current economy has made clients more “deliberate” in their decision-making and things more complex. “They need us more,” she said.
Between them, Uttenhove and Liz Kabat Whiteside, her partner at SRS Real Estate Partners, have 50-plus years of experience. They are the 2010 top producers in the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors’ retail category.
Each claimed nearly $15 million in transaction volume in 2009, and both credit big rollouts, including the successful opening of 16 Target stores in Tennessee, which Whitehead oversaw, as contributors to their success. They aim to raise their effectiveness by ramping up their research efforts and mining years of experience in search of creative solutions to their clients’ problems.
