In 2017, friends Peter Phillips and Theodore Gailas challenged each other to see who could create the absolute best cookie they’d ever tasted. They both succeeded, and the resulting cookies were so good that the duo decided to bring them to the masses and open a cookie shop in Astoria, Queens. Chip City has since expanded into one of the East Coast’s most beloved and fastest-growing cookie bakeries, with locations across New York & New Jersey and many more in the works. So what makes these cookies so special? First of all, the cookies are huge, clocking in at four inches across and nearly six ounces each!
