El Super, a food retailer focused on providing high-quality food products to the Latin community and part of Grupo Chedraui, one of the largest supermarket chains in Mexico, has preleased 46,000 square feet at 2223 W. Camelback Rd. in Phoenix, AZ.
With an anchor tenant in place, the proposed 65,800-square-foot shopping center is expected to break ground this month, delivering in early 2017. The eight-acre site is currently improved with a 55,000-square-foot, freestanding auto dealership.
Carl Jones of De Rito Partners represented the landlord, VTC 2223 Camelback LLC, an affiliate of Berkshire Hathaway. Ed Beeh and Robbie Petty of SRS Real Estate Partners represented the tenant in lease negotiations.
