Discount retailer Grocery Outlet sets sights on High Desert with Victorville location

A new Grocery Outlet is coming to the Hi-Desert Plaza on the northwest corner of Hesperia and Bear Valley roads in Victorville.

Progressive Real Estate Partners on Tuesday told the Daily Press that the new 16,130-square-foot grocery store is projected to open this summer.

Grocery Outlet is a supermarket that offers discounted, overstocked and closeout products from name brand and private-label suppliers.

Each store features a variety of items, fresh produce, frozen foods, meat, seafood and alcohol, as well as health, beauty, household and seasonal offerings.

The Rancho-Cucamonga based Progressive firm said Grocery Outlet’s lease will be for anchor space in the shopping center that’s home to businesses such as DD’s Discounts, Dollar Tree, Aaron’s, Goodwill and Bank of America.

Grocery Outlet is expected to make “a significant investment” at the Victorville location to reflect its brand and create a customer-friendly shopping experience, according to Progressive.

Progressive President Brad Umansky and VP of Retail Sales & Leasing Paul Su marketed the property and represented landlord BH Properties in the transaction.

Grocery Outlet was represented by Townsand Cropsey and Garrett Colburn of SRS Real Estate Partners in Newport Beach.

“We are delighted to welcome Grocery Outlet to Hi-Desert Plaza,” Umansky said. “The value-oriented co-tenancy and outstanding Victorville location made this … a perfect fit for Grocery Outlet to grow their brand in the High Desert region of SoCal’s Inland Empire.”
