Earth Fare opens first intown store
Asheville, N.C.-based natural foods grocer Earth Fare Inc. on July 8 opened its first intown Atlanta store.

The 24,000-square-foot store is located at the Emory Point mixed-use development, near Emory University and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

“Earth Fare loves to expand where people are health-conscious, educated and looking to make changes,” said company spokeswoman Amanda Arnet. “Atlanta is a vibrant community that’s growing.”

Earth Fare carries products that are free of artificial sweeteners, colors, preservatives, flavors, trans-fats, antibiotics and hormones.

It features many local products, including Georgia-based Springer Mountain Farms chicken.

The Emory Point location is Earth Fare’s 37th store. Ray Uttenhove, Steve Gunning and Sarah Williams of SRS Real Estate Partners represented Earth Fare in its lease.

The grocer now has four stores in Georgia: Athens, Augusta, Peachtree Corners and Emory Point.

It plans to open another store in Cumming this winter.

Atlanta Business Chronicle reported in March 2013 that Earth Fare was looking to open stores in metro Atlanta.
