A new wine retailer as well as a growing sports grill chain will soon debut new stores in Altamonte Springs.

Total Wine & More is set to take the space of the former Thomasville Furniture store, according to a site plan on Stiles Realty’s website. Though it’s unknown when the store will open or how large the store will be, Total Wine typically signs leases for 20,000 to 30,000 square feet of space.

This will be Total Wine’s third store in Central Florida. The Potomac, Md.-based wine and spirits store joins a retail lineup that includes Buy Buy Baby, David’s Bridal, Burlington, Ross and more.

International Diamond Center recently left its space in the Marketplace at Altamonte to become a tenant in the the Village Shoppes at Altamonte Springs.

Meanwhile, Duffy’s Sports Grill continues its Central Florida expansion with its fourth Orlando-area location at 525 E. Altamonte Drive. The restaurant will take the 7,313-square-foot site that was formerly occupied by Mimi’s Cafe, but an opening date was not revealed.

Jason Kaiser represented the tenant in the transaction. Danielle O’Hara Murphy, senior associate, and Blake Hunter, first vice president of SRS Real Estate Partners, represented the landlord.

“Duffy’s continues to grow and we are excited to be working with them on their expansion needs,” said Kaiser, senior vice president of SRS Real Estate Partners. “This location has strong demographics and is highly visible, which supports Duffy’s criteria for new sites.”

Duffy’s recently opened its third eatery in Waterford Lakes Town Center in east Orlando. The South Florida-based chain also has locations near the Mall at Millenia and in Lake Mary.

These are just two of the new tenants the city of Altamonte Springs will welcome, as the nearby Renaissance Centre retail plaza is being revamped to include a 40,000-square-foot Whole Foods store, a new 38,292-square-foot Sports Authority, a 10,000-square-foot Ulta beauty store, a 3,800-square-foot Carter’s children’s clothing store and a 1,604-square-foot Anthony’s Pizza.
