SRS Real Estate Partners Hires Four Regional Directors

DALLAS (March 5, 2015) – SRS Real Estate Partners is pleased to welcome Todd Frank, John Krupka, Kris McDonald, and Mike Riley as regional directors. They will handle portfolio management of Walgreens’ new stores in their respective territories and coordinate the National Broker Network.

Todd Frank joins SRS in the Chicago office where he will be responsible for portfolio management of Walgreens’ new store locations in the Central U.S. and Las Vegas CBSA. Frank spent 18 years in the Walgreens real estate department, where he was responsible for site selection, acquisition and development of Walgreens stores in New York City, Long Island, Northern New Jersey, Ohio, Northern Kentucky, Western Pennsylvania, Georgia, Northern California, Nevada and the Chicago Metro Area. During that time, he was responsible for more than $2 billion worth of real estate transactions. He also spent two years in the Walgreens law department and seven years in private practice as a real estate attorney.

John Krupka joins SRS, based in Seattle, where he will be responsible for portfolio management of Walgreens’ new store locations in the West. Krupka spent 11 years in the Walgreens real estate department where he was responsible for site selection, acquisition and development of Walgreens real estate locations in the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, Gulf South and the Carolinas. During his time there he successfully negotiated more than $450 million worth of real estate transactions and contributed in excess of $10 million to profit by managing location closings, surplus property dispositions, rent reductions and lease terminations.

Kris McDonald joins SRS in the Tampa office where she will be responsible for portfolio management of Walgreens’ new store locations in the Southeast. McDonald most recently worked with Chase Bank where she led a development team that delivered more than 128 new build and relocation projects over four years in the Southeast. During her nine years with Walgreens, McDonald held various roles within the real estate department. As manager of pharmacy acquisitions she managed all pharmacy acquisitions for the entire Northeast and four Tampa districts. McDonald also handled the five boroughs of New York City, Westchester County, N.Y., Atlanta, and South Carolina territories as a real estate manager. Notably, she chaired the “One Times Square” project, a 22-story lease of the building best known for the New Year’s Eve ball drop. This was Walgreens’ first three-level store and included the installation of the largest LED display in North America at the time. Additionally, she spent time as one of only 10 in-house real estate attorneys who handled all retail real estate transactions for the company.

Mike Riley joins SRS in the New York office where he will be responsible for portfolio management of Walgreens’ new store locations in the Northeast. Riley was part of the Walgreens real estate department for more than 11 years where he drove the site selection, acquisition and development of Walgreens real estate locations within the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Los Angeles territories. While there, he successfully negotiated more than $450 million worth of real estate transactions and contributed in excess of $20 million to annual profit by managing location closings, surplus property dispositions, rent reductions and termination of existing lease and sublease negotiations.

“We feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to welcome such well-regarded and seasoned professionals to the SRS/Walgreens Boots Alliance team,” said Patrick A. Smith, EVP and principal in the New York office. “We believe their experience and vision will ensure an efficient transition and continued success for the Walgreens real estate portfolio.”
