Russel Wehsener

Russel Wehsener joined SRS in 2026 as a Vice President with the National Multi-Tenant Advisory – South Central team in Dallas. Russel specializes in investment sales of multi-tenant properties on a local, regional, and national basis. He also assists developers with acquisitions for development opportunities. Prior to joining SRS, Russel was a Vice President at The Woodmont Company.

Since 2024, Russel has personally closed over $100 million in retail investment property transactions across multiple states, representing assets ranging from single-tenant net lease investments to multi-tenant shopping centers and development opportunities. His clients range from publicly traded REITs, institutional owners, and private equity groups to family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and first-time investors seeking to build long-term wealth through commercial real estate ownership.

In addition to his investment sales practice, Russel has extensive experience assisting clients with 1031 exchanges, helping investors identify replacement properties, preserve equity, and execute tax-deferred investment strategies. His experience in both brokerage and development provides clients with a comprehensive understanding of the factors that drive value throughout the investment lifecycle, from site selection and entitlement to leasing, operations, and disposition.

Russel earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with a Real Estate Concentration from Texas Christian University’s Neeley School of Business. He holds real estate licenses in both Texas and California and is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
