Matt Martinez has more than 24 years of experience in commercial real estate specializing in retail tenant and landlord representation for many national tenant and owner clients. As market leader for the Pacific Northwest office, he is tasked with guiding the local brokerage team through day-to-day leadership, management, and business development activities.

Commercial real estate is a family business for Matt, and he was fortunate to have a prominent and influential real estate mentor in his father, Chuck Martinez. Matt entered the industry as an intern with Commercial Realty Advisors, but learned the language and technologies quickly and was soon asked to join the Walmart tenant representation team. Matt still works with Walmart and has completed more than 35 transactions for the client. He was promoted to partner within the company and gained additional assignments with retailers such as Chase Bank, LA Fitness, Whole Foods, Panda Express, and Starbucks. Feeling compelled to distinguish himself outside of the company his father founded, Matt joined HSM Pacific, working for the ChainLinks affiliate for more than five years before founding his own company, M&M Real Estate Consultants in 2021.

Matt is most proud of his ability to maintain his relationships with his clients. His in-depth knowledge of the market and of his client’s needs, bolstered by his reliability, honesty, and transparency, has him well-regarded in the retail real estate community and beyond.
