John Darrow

John Darrow joined SRS Real Estate Partners in 2025 as an Executive Vice President & Managing Principal in the Dallas office. Leading the Capital Markets Debt & Equity team, he has extensive experience on both the banking and ownership side. Prior to joining SRS, John was a Principal and Managing Director at Slatt Capital in Dallas. He started his career in New York City during the 2008 global financial crisis for a mortgage and credit fund, analyzing and restructuring defaulted loans and REO opportunities. Since 2015, he has been a lender and mortgage banker serving clients throughout the United States, having closed over 500 loans in over 35 states. John’s experience ranges across all asset classes, and has helped clients’ close deals in retail, industrial, self-storage, hospitality, and multifamily. Of the $2.5 billion plus in closings, he has completed deals as small as $750,000 to over $100,000,000. Drawing on his years in the hedge fund world structuring capital stacks, John excels and enjoys helping clients with complicated situations when it comes to their debt and equity needs.

John has an M.S. in Real Estate Finance from New York University. He also holds both a B.S. and an M.A. in architecture from The Catholic University of America. John lives in Highland Park, TX with his wife and two daughters.
