DALLAS (September 10, 2014) – SRS Real Estate Partners is pleased to announce that two of their brokers have been selected to Chain Store Age magazine’s list of 15 power brokers for 2014. John Artope, EVP and market leader of SRS’ Florida offices, as well as Garrett Colburn, SVP and market leader of SRS’ Newport Beach office, were chosen for the title amongst hundreds of nominations by retailers and real estate brokerage firms nationwide.
The inaugural list was published in the September 2014 issue of Chain Store Age, the 89-year-old retail trade magazine based in New York. The 15 power brokers were selected based on the number of retail real estate transactions in 2013, the dollar value of those transactions, and overall reputation in the industry.
John Artope has been with SRS Real Estate Partners for more than 12 years. As executive vice president and market leader for the SRS Orlando, Tampa and South Florida offices, John represents regional and national retail tenants in all aspects of site selection, strategic planning, and retail development. Additionally, John serves as the company's President of the Executive Committee and is a member of the Board of Directors. He is consistently recognized internally as a top producer, and in 2011 received SRS’ prestigious Chairman’s Award, an award determined by the chairman of the board and given to the professional best exemplifying the company’s core values.
Garrett Colburn has been with SRS Real Estate Partners for more than three years. As senior vice president and market leader in the Newport Beach office, he specializes in expanding national and regional retailers and restaurants throughout Southern California. Consistently recognized for his success and service, Garrett has received many industry and internal awards including Planet Fitness’ National Broker of the Year award for 2014 after completing 16 new deals within the year.
