SRS Real Estate Partners Hires Senior Associate in Dallas

DALLAS (April 29, 2014)SRS Real Estate Partners welcomes Carissa Brown as a senior associate in the Dallas/Ft. Worth office. Brown will focus on tenant representation, landlord representation, and SRS Urban services. She has worked with many national retailers and well-known developers and has a background in e-commerce.

Brown joins SRS from Venture Commercial, where she specialized in site selection and market expansion strategies for retailers. There, she was a member of the top producing team for 2013, helping them increase production by more than 75%. Prior to her time at Venture Commercial, Brown founded a successful e-commerce designer apparel company, carissarose.com. The brand resonated with shoppers and earned early profitability as well as national editorial media coverage in Oprah Magazine, Kelly Ripa TV, and many others. Brown's e-commerce background affords her insight and understanding into the challenges brick-and-mortar stores face to stay relevant in an increasingly digital commerce world.

Brown has a bachelor's degree in business marketing and physiology from Baylor University. She is active in the Dallas commercial real estate community as a member of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, Commercial Real Estate Women Dallas, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. Brown also donates her time at KCM, the Compassion House, serving hot food to the homeless, and as a Dallas Independent School District school volunteer.
