CHICAGO (September 14, 2015) – 18|8 Fine Men’s Salons has signed leases for three new locations in the Chicago area. 18|8 men’s haircare and grooming centers are the reinvention of the barber shop focusing on the unique needs of men. All of the new locations plan to be open for business by the end of 2015, with one of the locations having opened at the end of August. Leases have been signed in Barrington, Lombard, and Naperville, Ill., and range from 1,400-1,596 square feet.
The 1,596-square-foot lease in Barrington, Ill., is located at Barrington Village Center at the intersection of Hough and Main Streets. Once completed, Barrington Village Center will be comprised of approximately 55,000 square feet with a unique mix of retail, restaurant and office use. 18|8 will be in good company as Starbucks, AT&T and Shakou Sushi announced earlier this summer that they were committed to opening locations at Barrington Village Center. This 18|8 location opened for business on August 22.
The 1,406-square-foot lease in Lombard, Ill., is located at The Shops on Butterfield inside of Yorktown Center at the intersection of Butterfield Rd. and Highland Ave. The 1.5-million-square-foot center which dates back to the late 1960s and was renovated in the early 2000s, includes more than 100 retailers. 18|8 will be a part of the outdoor concourse of shops labeled The Shops on Butterfield which includes Brio, The Capital Grille, Ra Sushi, H&M, Orvis and a department store-sized Forever 21.
The 1,400-square-foot lease in Naperville, Ill., is located at Freedom Commons at the intersection of Freedom Dr. and Diehl Rd. The 160,000-square-foot center boasts a strong mix of retailers and is a premier dining destination for Naperville. 18|8 will join tenants LA Fitness, Morton’s Steakhouse, iFly Indoor Skydiving and Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant.
