Veteran commercial real estate broker Alison Barnwell has left Live Oak-Gottesman for an executive position at SRS Real Estate Partners.

After more than a decade with Trammell Crow Co. and CBRE Group Inc., Barnwell had been persuaded to be a part of Live Oak-Gottesman’s aggressive foray into retail leasing in 2013.

After less than two years on the job, however, she has signed on with Dallas-based SRS Real Estate Partners as senior vice president in Austin. SRS’s local office is headed by Will Majors.

SRS has experienced its share of turmoil in Austin in the past couple of years. In 2013, prominent brokers Todd Wallace and Robert O’Farrell defected to JLL, which also decided to go after the increasingly competitive retail real estate market.

Majors was hired from Austin-based Endeavor Real Estate Group. The SRS broker team also includes T.J. Powell and Carson Hawley.

Barnwell, who graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn., has worked with major landlords and tenants during her career, including Parkway Properties, RREEF, TIAA-CREF Financial Services, Bank of America, Papa John’s Pizza, GNC and Skechers.
