CHICAGO – Chicago-based Pete’s Fresh Market, a full-service grocery store that offers a vast selection of fresh and organic produce and meat, is opening its 9th location in Oakbrook Terrace, Ill. The local grocer has purchased a 57,000-square-foot space and three acres of land, formerly occupied by Dominick’s. The new store is located in the southwest quadrant of Summit Avenue and Roosevelt Road.
“Pete’s Fresh Market will thrive here. Oakbrook Terrace and the adjacent towns provide outstanding and diverse demographics, which is perfect for Pete’s,” said Jay Eigel, vice president for SRS Real Estate Partners (SRS) Chicago office. “It’s a logical extension of their network and will easily be supported by Pete’s warehouse at 43rd Street and Pulaski Road in the city.”
SRS, the largest national real estate company in the country exclusively dedicated to retail services, completed the sale of the property. Eigel represented the buyer, JD Real Estate, in the transaction, while Ryan Murphy, senior vice president for SRS’ Chicago office, represented the seller, Frontier Development Group.
