Personnel Moves: SRS Real Estate, JLL, NAI Robert Lynn, Stream Realty, Mohr Partners, Peloton, Interprise, and More

SRS Real Estate Partners has a new president, a key retail real estate executive has launched her own firm, and JLL has a new industrial group leader. These are just three of the top-level new hires and promotions at local real estate, construction, and architecture firms in this week’s Personnel Moves.

Woody McMinn

• SRS Real Estate Partners has named Woody McMinn president of its North American brokerage operations. He’ll work from the firm’s corporate headquarters in Dallas. In this newly created position, McMinn will play a key role in growing and supporting the firm’s local offices across the country. An executive with more than 25 years in the industry, McMinn most recently served as chief operating officer of UCR. Prior to that, he was a chief administrative office with Archon Group.

Jennifer Pierson

• After 21 years with CBRE, Jennifer Pierson has left the firm to launch her own company. Pierson Retail Advisors will primarily serve shopping center owners. A longtime leader in the sale of retail properties, Pierson is joined in the operation with her longtime partner and sister-in-law, Beth Pierson, as well as client specialist Debora Haught and other team members.

• Interprise Design has reshaped its leadership team. Carey Austin, who has served on the company’s board for several years, was named president and CEO. Rob Mahurin was promoted to vice president and creative director. Dan Lee was named vice president of architecture and business development, following Interprise’s recent acquisition of his firm, Lee Design Group. And Liz Trocchio Smith, real estate executive and performance coach, was appointed to the company’s board.

Craig Jones

• Craig Jones has joined JLL as managing director and leader of the firm’s industrial brokerage group. Jones, who previously served as president of the industrial division at NAI Robert Lynn, has completed more than 32 million square feet of industrial transactions valued at $350 million during his 20-year career. At JLL, he’ll be taking over the leadership role from Terry Darrow, who has decided to focus full-time on brokerage.

Rick Medinis

• Following Jones’ departure, NAI Robert Lynn has named Rick Medinis and Tyson Erwin as co-presidents of the firm’s industrial group. They will be responsible for managing the division and will continue to focus brokerage services on the northwest Dallas market. With more than 34 years of combined experience in the industry, Medinis and Erwin have closed more than 80 million square feet of industrial transactions.

Tyson Erwin

Medinis has spent his entire 22-year real estate career at NAI Robert Lynn and is one of the firm’s principals. He is active in SIOR, serving on the board of its North Texas chapter for the past eight years. Erwin joined the firm in 2006 and quickly moved into a leadership role. Also a company principal, Erwin oversees NAI Robert Lynn’s training program. Matt Elliott, executive vice president, has assumed the market director role overseeing the South Dallas industrial market.

• Seth Koschak  has been promoted to managing director of the a newly opened Fort Worth office for Stream Realty Partners LP. Tyler Maner, senior associate, will join Koschak in Fort Worth, after working in the company’s Dallas office. Koschak joined Stream Realty in 2009 and has consistently been one of the firm’s top producers.

Jack Britten

• Jack Britten has joined Mohr Partners as a managing director of the firm’s Dallas office. He previously served as president at Caprock Realty Partners, where he represented tenants nationally, sourcing locations and negotiating leases. Prior to that, he was market director at Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services.

John Brownlee

• Industry veteran John Brownlee has joined Peloton Commercial Real Estate as principal. Brownlee brings 28 years of experience and in-depth knowledge of the Dallas office market to his new post, having previously held positions at Hines, Grubb & Ellis, and, most recently, eight years with developer KDC. Throughout his career, he has handled leasing, asset management, build-to-suits, and acquisitions and dispositions.

David Boyack

• David Boyack of MYCON General Contractors has been promoted to project executive. He joined the company as senior project manager last year and currently is overseeing construction of Jackson Shaw’s Parc North development in Fort Worth, along with other projects.

• Larry Corson has been named co-president of  Wilbow Corp. He previously served as director of residential development for Cooper & Stebbins, an international real estate development and private investment company. In his new role at Wilbow Corp., Corson will work closely with the other members of the executive team, co-president Chas Fitzgerald and chairman William Bowness. Wilbow Corp., a subsidiary of WIlbow Group of Australia, has developed more than 60 single-family residential communities in the Dallas region since opening an office here in 1988.

Todd Moore

• Hart Advisors Group, a real estate advisory that specializes in CMBS loan restructures and loan assumptions, has named Todd Moore as chief operating officer. He brings more than 28 years of experience in the industry, previously servicing as managing director of Presidium Asset Solutions.

Brian Heard

• Real estate tax consultancy RETC has hired Brian Heard as director of business development. He will be responsible for acquiring new business and supervising clients’ portfolios throughout the year. With more than 15 years of experience, he most recently served as the property tax department manager for Lehigh Hanson.
