SRS Real Estate Partners have acquired Tampa’s Meridian Retail Group.
Dallas-based SRS already had a presence in Tampa; Meridian co-founders John Fahey and Tyler McRae will lead the Tampa office along with John Artope, SRS executive vice president and managing principal.
Fahey told the Tampa Bay Business Journal that while he’s been approached several times by national firms, a deal with SRS was the first one that felt right. He and his team have frequently worked with SRS brokers on opposite sides of deals.
“We took a lot of pride in being a boutique firm in Tampa,” Fahey said. “The timing and the fit just really made sense for a number of reasons. We’ve known the folks at SRS for decades.”
