Five Guys Burgers and Fries will open a location in Waco.
I’ve read that the Washington, D.C.-based chain serves burgers so good it has developed a rabid following in some parts of the country. It has grown to more than 450 locations.
In Waco, it has taken space in the Brazos Place shopping center at Waco and Valley Mills drives, not far from the Pei-Wei and Jason’s Deli dining locations.
The Five Guys Web site says the chain uses only fresh ground beef and has no freezers in its restaurants, only coolers. It uses only peanut oil, and its menu is trans-fat free.
Waco’s new Five Guys reportedly will open in early 2010.
