First Five Retail Tenants Announced for UT Arlington Development

Five restaurant concepts have leased spaces to be the first retail tenants at the College Park development in The University of Texas at Arlington campus.

Frank N. Bullock and Jack Burgher with SRS Real Estate Partners handle the leasing for College Park at UT Arlington.

MAVS Sports Grill, a new sports bar and grill concept with an average ticket price of $10 to $20, has leased a 4,519-square-foot space. Pho Xpress, a Vietnamese-style noodle house, has leased a 3,457-square-foot space.

Jennifer Tran with Avignon Realty represented two tenants, MAVS Sports Grill and Pho Xpress.

Pie Five Pizza Co., a concept from Pizza Inn Holdings Inc. that will offer personal-size pizzas that are ready in five minutes, has leased a 2,196-square-foot space. Campbell Foster and Daniel Taylor with CBRE represented Pie Five Pizza Co.
GRIP Mediterranean Grill, a new, fast-casual concept from the owners of Terra Mediterranean Grill and Ali Baba restaurants, has leased a 2,041-square-foot space that will offer its specialty 10-inch pita sandwiches. Greg Pierce with UCR represented GRIP Mediterranean Grill.

Coolberry Frozen Yogurt, a yogurt shop providing 90 flavors of frozen yogurt and 20 types of smoothies, has leased a 1,600-square-foot space.

College Park opens in August 2012. It is a 20-acre residential, retail and mixed-use development that is located south of UTA Boulevard between Pecan Street and Center Street.

The district is anchored by College Park Center, a 7,000-seat sports and entertainment venue.

“We are looking for a high-end convenient food market to serve the 33,500 students at UT Arlington and the downtown Arlington population,” said Frank Bullock, executive vice president and market leader for the Dallas office of SRS.
