More tenants were named for The Boardwalk at Towne Lake, a mixed-use development in northwest Houston at Barker Cypress and Tuckerton Road. Most notably, the development sits on a man-made lake.
The Boardwalk, which is being developed by Houston-based Caldwell Cos., features 150,000 square feet of waterfront shops, offices and patio restaurants, as well as green space and several docks for residents' boats. Future plans call for three additional retail, restaurant and office buildings as well as water taxis and a boutique hotel with a lakeside pool and bar. It's scheduled to open this spring.
All new tenant information comes from a spokesperson for Read King, a Houston-based commercial real estate firm. New tenants include:
- Sam's Boat Gulf Coast Kitchen, which will occupy 6,152 square feet. SRS Real Estate Partners represented the tenant.
- Pure Barre Fitness Studio, which will occupy 1,550 square feet. Evergreen Commercial Realty represented the tenant.
- Laura’s Line Clothing Boutique, which will occupy 1,998 square feet. Tenant broker information wasn't available.
- Flying Vine Wine Bar, which will occupy 3,278 square feet. Tenant broker information wasn't available.
- The Cheese Bar, which will occupy 1,178 square feet. Transwestern represented the tenant.
The landlord, CC Boardwalk I LP, was represented by Christie Amezquita and Will Bradley of Read King on all the leases. In August, Caldwell Cos. revealed a wave of additional tenants for the development, including Orange Theory Fitness, Mod Pizza, World of Beer and more. The Boardwalk at Towne Lake is also anchored by a 124,000-square foot Kroger Marketplace that opened in August 2014.
The Boardwalk is the first mixed-use development in Towne Lake, a 2,400-acre master-planned community anchored by a 300-acre lake. About 3,000 homes are planned for the community, located just south of U.S. Highway 290 and west of Barker Cypress Road. Residents are zoned to Cy-Fair Independent School District.
