The Valley is in the midst of a pizza boom.
But that boom isn't focused exclusively in Phoenix or Scottsdale.
Real estate company SRS has created a map exclusively for the Phoenix Business Journal that encompasses every pizza concept in the city of Chandler and some of the surrounding areas in the Southeast Valley.
SRS created a similar map recently highlighting the plethora of pizza shops around Tempe.
SRS compiled data using research software and polled real estate brokers to create the map. The group found that in Chandler alone, there are 49 concepts — the same number of pizzerias there are in Tempe — and 110 total featured on the map.
"When I was growing up it was a big deal if you got cheese or a topping," said Jeff Wolf, partner at Quarles & Brady LLP, which handles franchise litigation. "And now there’s 50 different ways you can get pizza."
