Chef Bonnell to Open New Restaurant at West 7th

Chef Jon Bonnell of Bonnell’s Fine Texas Cuisine will open Waters, Bonnell’s Fine Coastal Cuisine within the West 7th mixed-use development early next year.

The 7,775-sqBullock and Carey uare-foot restaurant will be located at the southwest corner of Crockett and Currie Streets beside Teskey’s Uptown. The new restaurant at 2901 Crockett Street is slated to open in February 2013.

The menu at Waters will focus on seafood. Waters will host a lively bar, as Bonnell describes it, a “Fort Worth Fancy” atmosphere and a raw bar. Fans of Bonnell’s current restaurant can also expect his Oyster Shooters to be served at Waters.

The team of Rodger Chieffalo of Chieffalo Realty plus Frank Shagets of SRS Real Estate Partners represented the landlord in this lease transaction. Attorney Jack Larson represented the merchant.

West 7th is a blend of pedestrian-friendly urban elements in a mixed-use community offering retail, entertainment, office and residential. The 13-acre development is located on 7th Street and University Drive near the Fort Worth business and cultural districts.
