Barnes & Noble keeps pages turning in Emeryville

While large bookstores continue shutting down, the Barnes & Noble in Bay Street Emeryville is staying put.

The retailer just renewed its 30,000-square-foot lease with landlord Madison Marquette for its space at 5604 Bay St. in Emeryville.

The chain has closed several Bay Area stores, but is still open in the Shops at Tanforan in San Bruno, Corte Madera and El Cerrito.

Bob Berndt with SRS Real Estate Partners represented Barnes & Noble in the transaction.
