Cardwell Brothers Automotive Group has purchased a former Bankston Dodge property in Irving. The group plans to add a full-service restaurant, wide-screen televisions, and a gazebo to the complex, which will house Cardwell’s Chevrolet franchise, service operations, and used car sales.
Located on 25 acres at the northwest corner of Airport Freeway and Carl Road in Irving, the two-building, 56,500-square-foot property was once the home of Bankston Dodge of Irving. Bankston Dodge has combined with Frank Parra, a dealership on the other side of Airport Freeway, to form Chrysler Jeep Dodge.
Ryan Johnson of SRS Real Estate Partners and Jacqueline Blake of Cypress Equities AutoGroup negotiated the deal on behalf of the seller, AutoNation USA. Bankston is a subsidiary of AutoNation, a company that has more than 300 dealerships across the country. John Aldrich of The Aldrich Group represented Cardwell Brothers.
