SAN ANTONIO (June 24, 2013) – K1 Speed has leased 42,217-square-feet at 6955 NW Loop in San Antonio, Texas. The new site is located in close proximity to Ingram Park Mall and the Westover Hills Trade Area, home to Sea World. Several corporate campuses are located nearby, including J.P. Morgan Chase, The NSA, American Funds and Southwest Research Institute, which collectively employ nearly 25,000 individuals. “K1 Speed is a proven operator and offers an entertainment alternative that we currently do not have in San Antonio,” said Keith McRee, vice president in the SRS San Antonio office. “We are excited to have them and look forward to the diverse customer base they will attract to the project.” K1 Speed is an indoor go kart racing facility that offers high performance, zero-emission electric karts. K1 currently has seventeen locations nationwide, including the Houston and Austin markets in Texas. The new San Antonio location is expected to open in July 2013.
