Location
In an effort to modernize and streamline, this new Pennsylvania State Police Headquarters consolidated the state police barracks in Wyoming, PA and a state police training center located in Forty Fort. This new building upgrades the State’s facilities from the current barracks in Wyoming, which is currently outdated with antiquated technology. Additionally, the site provides better access to Interstate 81 and State Highway 29, which will allow the State police department to respond better to the general population. The new regional headquarters is expected to employ approximately 170 people.
The site is located just off State Highway 29 with 16,000 vehicles per day with immediate nearby direct on/off-ramp access. State Highway 29 converges into Interstate 81, a major arterial thoroughfare with 63,700 vehicles per day. Historically, prior to the subject property becoming operational, this barracks had operated at the same site from 1910-2019.
