Sarah Hughes Cafaro

Sarah joined SRS in 2014 with over 10 years of experience in commercial real estate, including investment sales, finance, development, and commercial leasing transactions. Sarah advises clients in investment sales primarily in the acquisition and disposition of retail investment properties nationwide. Sarah’s attention to detail and diligence in marketing properties to meet owners’ objectives on timing and pricing has contributed to her direct involvement in over $500M in commercial real estate transactions nationally to-date. Her experience includes single-tenant, multi-tenant, and mixed-use development investment sales, distressed asset sales, portfolio sale-leasebacks, and off-market transactions. She has also worked with tenants and retailers via site selection, expansion/reduction of regional footprints, and sourcing of development partnerships.
Formerly of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, Sarah worked in the Capital Group in investment sales and loan sales advisory. Previously, Sarah also worked in asset management and acquisitions where she sourced and evaluated retail and mixed-use properties for acquisition and disposition. Prior to that Sarah worked in mergers & acquisitions and real estate investment banking.
Sarah holds a Master of Business Administration from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, and she holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.
Sarah is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). She has also served on the Advisory Board of the Bulldogs Care Foundation for ten years, and she previously served as the Chair of the Networking Committee for Pro Mujer, a non-profit microfinance organization to benefit women’s small businesses in Latin America.
