Todd O. Hardin as Houston Market Leader
and J. Braxton Brockenbrough as Vice President

Experienced Additions Further Solidify Company’s Commitment to Excellence

HOUSTON – (December 16, 2009) – SRS Real Estate Partners has announced Todd O. Hardin as the new market leader and senior vice president of its Houston office. Hardin will be joined by J. Braxton Brockenbrough, vice president, who brings nearly a decade of Houston-focused experience in tenant and landlord representation.

Prominent broker and veteran to the industry, Hardin brings more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate, with a focus on development, leasing and brokerage. In his new role at SRS Real Estate Partners, Hardin will primarily focus on leading the Houston brokerage team, increasing SRS Real Estate Partners’ market share and continuing to represent local clients.

SRS Real Estate Partners CEO and President, Clay Smith, brought Hardin on to lead the Houston brokerage team and to continue to grow the business. “Hardin’s wealth of experience and knowledge in the industry are just what we need right now in Houston and I look forward to the impact he will make on the office,” said Smith.

Prior to joining the firm, Hardin was with The J. Beard Real Estate Company where he successfully worked on land sales, investment sales, tenant representation and the development of an asset management group for the company. Prior to that, Hardin was senior vice president of development and acquisitions for Colonial Properties Trust where he was responsible for all new business in the southwest, including Texas. Additionally, he has held senior management positions at the Staubach Company and the Swerdlow Group.

Hardin’s vast experience has allowed him to not only be successful in real estate, but also develop extensive relationships with national retailers, the brokerage community, owners and other individuals in the retail community throughout several states, which include Texas, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Delaware and Florida, as well as Washington, D.C. Hardin holds a bachelors degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

The newest member of Hardin’s team, Brockenbrough spent nearly a decade at The Weitzman Group, where he was twice recognized for outstanding annual performance. Brockenbrough’s experience includes site selection for retailers and restaurants seeking multiple sites and maximum market penetration in the Greater Houston area. He has worked on behalf of in-house, third-party, joint venture and limited partnership clients, giving him perspective on the unique challenges and opportunities facing different types of businesses.

With a background in property management, Brockenbrough has overseen management and operations for retail, office, warehouse and multi-family space. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) candidate.
