DALLAS (June 14, 2021) – SRS Real Estate Partners is pleased to welcome Jim Farrell as senior vice president and market leader to SRS’ newest location in Charleston, South Carolina. The new location will establish SRS’ presence in the Carolinas and expand their reach in the Southeast. This moves SRS one step closer to their objective of placing prominent professionals throughout all regions of the U.S. Jim is transitioning to South Carolina from Washington D.C. where he has spent the last 30 years of his career. He has been tasked with opening SRS’ office in Charleston and expanding SRS’ presence throughout the Carolinas.

Jim has been a prominent tenant and landlord representation broker for the last three decades. His track record includes more than 5.3 million square feet leased at more than $1.1 billion in transaction value. For the majority of his career, and most recently with Rappaport as executive director of leasing and brokerage, his work has focused on the Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland markets. Some of his most notable achievements include bringing the first Nordstrom Rack to downtown D.C., numerous leases with grocers including Whole Foods, Giant Food, Safeway, Harris-Teeter, Lidl, and Aldi, as well as 16 new locations for Potbelly Sandwich Shop.
Jim has experience conceptualizing and leasing retail projects from inception, as well as reviving outdated projects resulting in invigorated and modernized developments. His work has earned him an impressive list of clients including American Realty Advisors, AEW, DWS/RREEF, Insight Property Group, MRP Realty, Northwestern Mutual, Greystar and many others. Jim enjoys working with the variety of clients that come along with retail real estate projects – from small business owners to national retailers to local owners and institutional landlords.
