SRS Real Estate Partners Going the Extra Mile

Annual Fall Summit Brought Employees Together for Teamwork and Education

DALLAS – (October 29, 2009) – SRS Real Estate Partners gathered employees for its annual fall summit, themed “Going the Extra Mile,” from Oct. 11 to 14. The summit, which was held at the Hilton hotel in Austin, provided employees with team building opportunities and education, and at the end celebrated the entire brokerage team’s work over the past year.

The summit consisted of leadership council meetings, team building activities, awards ceremonies and breakout sessions which focused on lease administration and managed services, real estate owned (REO) business and how to outshine the competition through marketing and research tools. Additionally, renowned motivational speaker, Nathan Jamal, spoke at the summit engaging employees about influential selling skills. Jamal also conducted an activity where each employee painted a tile that contributed to a bigger art piece. Those art pieces will be framed and hung in each of SRS Real Estate Partners’ offices and serve as a reminder of the team work and motivational lessons emphasized during the summit.

“As an annual tradition, it was extremely important for SRS Real Estate Partners to keep the fall summit going this year, despite the economy,” said Clay Smith, CEO and President, SRS Real Estate Partners. “Not only did the fall summit bring all of our employees together in one setting but it also allowed everyone to personally engage with colleagues and learn from one and other. Our employees are what set us apart from the competition and the summit provided education and training vital to our continued success.”

One of the main goals of this year’s summit was team building. SRS Real Estate Partners brought in The Go Game, a company based in San Francisco that specializes in creative activities and games for the sole purpose of team building. SRS Real Estate Partners’ employees played the Classic Go Game which consisted of missions that were downloaded to each team’s web-enabled cell phone. Each mission directed the team to solve a puzzle or complete a task by submitting digital photos and texts. The game was a success and widely popular among the employees.

“This year’s summit was definitely one to remember,” said Dawn Greiner, senior vice president, SRS Real Estate Partners. “We all learned so much from the leadership council meetings, breakout sessions and team building activities and what it truly means to go the extra mile not only for our company but for our clients. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the company going forward.”

The summit would not have been complete without celebrating outstanding individual and team contributions. SRS Real Estate Partners gave out awards for Top Achievers, Rising Stars, Teams, Most Assists, Extra Mile, Top Five Producers, Most Valuable Player (MVP), the Chairman’s Award, and honored those who have been with the company for many years.

Dawn Greiner received both the Top Producer and MVP awards and was also one of the Top Achievers. The Team award went to Brinker and both Scott Riddles and Chris Maguire were honored for marking their 20 year anniversaries with SRS Real Estate Partners.

This year’s summit was a great success and could not have been done without everyone’s participation. SRS Real Estate Partners looks forward to all employees going the extra mile every day and the company’s future continued success.
