SRS Real Estate Partners has announced the hiring of Ed Laycox as vice president in the firm’s Washington D.C. office as part of the National Net Lease Group and the Investment Properties Group. In his new role, Laycox will focus on retail investment sales in the Mid-Atlantic. He will be the fifth team member to join the team and new office established earlier this year.
Laycox brings more than 20 years of experience in retail and commercial real estate to SRS. He most recently served as president at Urban Acre Investments, where he specialized in urban retail, anchored retail and single-tenant net-leased retail properties. Laycox began his career at Marcus & Millichap where he managed the Special Asset Services division in the Mid-Atlantic and closed more than 100 transactions totaling over $300 million.
“Ed is a great addition to our growing Washington D.C. office,” said Andrew Fallon, executive managing director and market leader for SRS in Washington D.C. “His mix of product type, from urban retail to multi-tenant shopping centers, complements our core net lease business well. We are very excited to welcome another investment sales professional with Ed’s pedigree and industry experience, and we are confident that his addition will allow us to better serve our clients.”
