SRS Real Estate Partners’ National Net Lease Group has arranged the $7.3 million sale of a nearly two-acre retail development site at 1700 S. Douglas in Miramar, FL.
The site will be the future home of a new 6,119-square-foot Wawa convenience store and 16-pump gas station. Wawa will break ground summer 2021 with plans to open the store approximately first quarter 2022. Wawa currently has more than 225 locations across Florida and more than 900 locations nationwide. The Miramar Wawa site is nearby tenants Walmart Supercenter, Sam’s Club, Dunkin’ and CVS.
Patrick Nutt of SRS represented the seller, a Florida-based merchant developer, in the transaction. The buyer was a private investor in a 1031 exchange. The property has a new 20-year ground lease in place with Wawa as the tenant.
