Retail clothing chain inks lease in Hueytown

A national discount clothing retailer has signed a lease and is renovating space in Hueytown.

Citi Trends is currently renovating the 20,000-square-foot space at 3056 Allison-Bonnett Memorial Drive.

The retailer backfilled the former Fred’s location and has plans to open before the holidays. It joins other nearby retailers The Shoe Dept., Bedzzz Express and Verizon Wireless in Hueytown Village.

According to a release, the deal was in place prior to Covid-19, but, due to effects of quarantine closures, Citi Trends held off on moving in until stores were able to open back up.

SRS Real Estate Partners Senior Associate Cooper Smith represented the landlord, Corretti, in the deal.

Citi Trends currently has more than 571 stores in 33 states.
