This winter, yet another mixed-use development will begin taking root in the rapidly changing Perimeter/Dunwoody subdistrict, officials said this week.

Expected to break ground in November, 84 Perimeter will feature 30,000 square feet of Class A retail space, a 150-room boutique hotel from a Hilton brand, and new-to-market restaurants, according to SRS Real Estate Partners, which is pre-leasing the development.

84 Perimeter will stand across from Perimeter Mall’s main entrance at the lighted intersection of Ashford-Dunwoody Road and Perimeter Center East.

Expect two entrances along Perimeter Center East and deck parking, instead of surface parking lots, officials noted.

The development joins a variety of up-and-coming projects at Perimeter, including the 40-plus-acre mixed-use High Street Atlanta, the Twelve24 Office building, The Park at Georgetown Food Hall, and the mixed-use Perimeter Market Place.

According to Michael Starling, Dunwoody’s director of economic development, the city is focused on creating more entertainment and recreation options for residents, workers, and tourists.

This planned new addition to the area shows promise of moving the city closer to that goal.
