Pei Wei Asian Diner to Enter Atlanta Market

SRS is representing the retailer in the search for its first location in the Peach State

ATLANTA – Pei Wei Asian Diner (Pei Wei), a quick-casual restaurant that serves freshly prepared, wok-seared, contemporary pan-Asian cuisine, has selected SRS Real Estate Partners (SRS) to find its first-ever location in the state of Georgia. Steve Gunning, vice president for SRS’ Atlanta office, is representing the Scottsdale-based eatery in their search.

Pei Wei was launched in July 2000 as a growth vehicle for P.F. Chang’s China Bistro (P.F. Chang’s). The 3,000-square-foot restaurant leverages the heritage and culinary expertise of P.F. Chang’s, while attracting a broader audience by providing a convenient place for everyday eating versus a dining destination. Currently, Pei Wei operates more than 165 company-owned stores in 20 states.

The average Pei Wei store generates more than $1.8 million per year in sales, and in excess of $800 per square foot in some locations. More than 40% of sales come from the diner’s take away business and less than 2% is from beer and wine. Meaning, the restaurant generates substantial foot traffic for a retail center.
