Coffee, ice cream and spirits are on the menu

A New Jersey-based company paid $3.6 million for a 70,000-square-foot industrial warehouse on 250 Clolinger Road in Jackson, Al., according to Herrington Realty. The facility is an A class warehouse with rail access in Jackson’s industrial corridor. The buyer plans to bring more than 60 jobs to the area.

Dairy Queen paid $565,000 for a 1.3-acre site on Ala. 59 in Foley, in front of Old Time Pottery, and plan to build a new restaurant and open next year, according to Angie McArthur and Kaelan McArthur of Stirling Properties, who represented the buyer.

7 Brew Coffee paid $435,000 for a half acre site at 3201 S. McKenzie St., in Foley, and construction is under way on a drive-thru store, according to Andrew Dickman of Stirling Properties, who represented the seller. 7 Brew plans to open in mid-October, according to Crawford Stitt of White-Spunner Realty, who represented the buyers. This will be the first 7 Brew in Alabama. The new store is adjacent to Captain D’s seafood kitchen which is also under construction.

The Blowout Bar has leased 1,500 square feet of space in Providence Plaza Shopping Center at 6601 Airport Blvd., in Mobile, according to Pratt Thomas of Merrill P. Thomas Co., who handled the transaction. The Blowout Bar is a luxury hair styling salon for high-class pampering at an affordable price, according to owners Cody and Katie Aloi. Salon services include hair styling for events or a weekly pick-me-up.

Airport Liquor has leased 1,350 square feet of space at 7080 Airport Blvd., in Mobile, according to Leigh Dale Younce of SRS Real Estate Partners, who represented the landlord.
