Freebirds leasing space at University Commons

SRS Real Estate Partners has announced Freebirds World Burrito has leased 2,520 square feet in Round Rock at University Commons, at FM 1431 and Interstate 35, near Round Rock Premium Outlets and IKEA.

Freebirds offers burritos and Tex-Mex food, which customers can order counter-style, allowing them to customize their meal by choosing from a variety of ingredients. Currently, Freebirds has 25 other locations in Texas.

“We are excited to represent Freebirds on their long-awaited entry into Round Rock,” said Sean Murphy, senior associate for SRS Real Estate Partners. “Freebirds selected this location because of its strategic placement in the Round Rock market, making it easily accessible to the residents of both Round Rock and Georgetown, as well as the large number of college students and nearby hospital employees.”

Dan Wheat of Barshop & Oles represented the landlord.

Goodwill to expand in Round Rock

SRS Real Estate Partners has announced Goodwill Industries of Central Texas is expanding its retail stores in Round Rock and Bastrop.

The Goodwill Round Rock location will occupy a 21,400-square-foot space at Highway 79, making this retail store 20 percent larger in size from the former location. The Goodwill Bastrop location will occupy a 11,069-square-foot space at FM 304 and Highway 71.

“We are excited to represent Goodwill in its Round Rock and Bastrop locations,” said Robert O’Farrell, vice president of SRS Real Estate Partners. “By adding two more locations, Goodwill is steadily growing and providing more convenience and services to those in the greater Austin area.”

Currently there are over 2,300 Goodwill retail stores across the nation.

Rick Motycka of Midway Real Estate was the developer in the Round Rock location and Howard Schain was the developer in the Bastrop location.
