SRS Real Estate Partners announced today the $4.85 million ground lease (land ownership) sale of a Wawa property located at 2500 Davie Road in Davie, Florida. Built in 2019, the 5,636-square-foot property is situated on 1.43 acres and has a long-term, corporate-guaranteed lease in place.
SRS Capital Markets Senior Managing Principal Patrick Nutt and Executive Vice President & Principal William Wamble who are based in Florida represented the seller, a South Florida-based development and investment firm. The buyer was a private investor from South Florida who was in a 1031 Exchange.
“Our Florida Capital Markets team has sold dozens of Wawa assets over the past year,” said Nutt. “The appeal for this C-store is that it continues to expand and has a growing customer base that is dedicated to the quality brand and favorable reputation.”
The property is strategically located off Interstate 595 and the Florida Turnpike. It is also just north of Nova Southeastern University, Broward College, and Nova High School and is east of Tower Shops, a community shopping center that is ranked as one of the top centers nationwide.
There are more than 1,050 Wawa stores in the United States. This established convenience store and gas brand continues to build new locations.
